Kristen Hoetzel, creator and editor of Cooking with Mickey, is passionate about food, drinks and Disney. Not only does she enjoy cooking, fine dining and entertaining, but she also enjoys photography, traveling and hockey.

Kristen’s fervor of the culinary world has manifested in amassing recipes which have turned into shelves upon shelves of cookbooks, culinary textbooks & magazine subscriptions and inspired her to create her own unique dishes. Her love has evolved into planning family and personal vacation all upon the premise of exploring the food s of the world. She’s traveled to several European countries, throughout North America, and the Caribbean in search of great and inspiring food.

To pay for her college education she spent several years working in restaurants. Since then she's taken classes at Viking Cooking School and has been experimenting with recipes. She's completed Top Chef University, online culinary courses.

Kristen is the creator of the webseries “Cooking with Mickey” for Sorcerer Radio. She also hosts WDW Tiki Room on Sorcerer Radio, and WDW After Dark, a live Disney vidcast.

Since December 1991 Kristen has visited Walt Disney World more than 20 times and Disneyland twice. She's had the opportunity to dine at the members-only exclusive, Club 33 in Disneyland; the Five Diamond Award-winning Victoria & Albert's in Walt Disney World; and the award-winning Napa Rose at Disneyland. On her mission to dine at all the Walt Disney World restaurants (she has 7 remaining), not including Spoodles or Juan and Only’s, which have since closed.

Kristen is a charter member of Disney’s D23.
