Welcome to those of you joining me from Disney Babies Blog and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the final stop on our Magical Blogorail. Today we're talking about ways to save money before or on your Disney vacation. Saving money on dining at Disney can add up to be a lot. It's one aspect of vacation planning that many forget to include and it can be costly. There are a few ways to save on dining when taking a Walt Disney World vacation. These are my favorites:
The Disney Dining Plans
This is an easy way to save money and have the convenience of not having to worry about the prices on the menu. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort that is owned and operated by the Disney Company you can add this on to your Magic Your Way package.
How's it work?
The plan is linked to your Key to the World card (your room key). For each person, per night you'll receive credits to be used in any combination you'd like throughout your vacation. Everyone in a room will be on the same plan. Children under 3 can share from adult plates or eat of the buffet at no additional charge.
To redeem your credits you'll let the Cast Member know when you are ordering that you're on the Disney Dining Plan. They'll swipe your card and present you with a receipt which will list the number of credits you have remaining. This makes it so easy to keep up with your credit spending.
For more information on the Disney Dining Plan, including the plan details visit the Disney Dining Plan section!
Tables in Wonderland
Annual Passholders and Florida residents can purchase this discount savings card!
How's it work?
You purchase the card ($75 for Annual Passholders; $100 for Florida residents) and save 20% of food and beverages at select locations. You'll also receive complimentary valet parking when showing your dining receipt at the resort valet stand and theme park parking when showing your receipt to Guest Relations in the park (you must have dined to receive either).
In addition to discounts, there are also members only events you'll receive invites to attend.
Visit the Tables in Wonderland section to find out more about this discount!
Both the Disney Dining Plan and Tables in Wonderland can save you a good bit of money on vacation. How much depends how you use them. Do you purchase the Disney Dining Plan? Are you a members of Tables in Wonderland? Have you found that you save money and how much overall?
