Average Disney Dude: Top 5 Must Eat Wings on
Walt Disney World Property!
Walt Disney World Property!
By Aljon Go
The origins of the Buffalo wing have several variations. The most wildly accepted tale begins around 1964 at the Anchor Bar by Teressa Bellissimo, who owned the bar along with her husband Frank. Teressa needed a fast and easy snack to present to her hungry son and his guests. It was then that she came up with the idea of deep frying chicken wings (normally thrown away or reserved for stock) and tossing them in cayenne hot sauce.
Without any further ado, here are my Top 5 Must Eat Wings at Walt Disney World!

# 5 - Red Wings
ESPN Club - Boardwalk Resort
These wings come in Medium, Hot, Flame, Teriyaki, or Barbecue flavors and are served with Celery and Blue Cheese Dressing. My wife and I tried the Flame Hot version and it had just enough kick for me. Those wanting it extra hot should make sure to notify their "coach" or server. Not sure if the sauce is too hot for you? Have them bring out some samples of the sauce to taste! ($11.49)
# 4 - Chicken Wings
Crossroads at House of Blues - Downtown Disney
These fresh whole chicken wings are fried crispy and tossed in one of three homemade sauces: smoked tomato BBQ sauce, Jamaican style spicy jerk sauce or Buffalo hot sauce, served wover citrus champagne slaw! The sauces are what make these wings stand out from the crowd and have rightfully earned their slot on this list! ($9.99)
#3 Sticky Wings for Two
Kona Cafe - Polynesian Resort (lunch)
These glazed chicken wings are hard to resist. Coated with a tangy mustard drizzle and toasted sesame seeds they are a perfect combination of the sweet and savory! ($12.99)
#2 Thai Chili Chicken Wings
Yak and Yeti - Animal Kingdom
Who knew that finger-licking good fried chicken wings were a staple in Thailand? Tossed in a sweet Thai chili sauce, spicy Asian pickled cucumbers $8.99
#1 Honey Coriander Chicken Wings
'Ohana (Dinner), Polynesian Resort
One of the most popular family dining experiences in all of Walt Disney World would have to be the Hawaiian style All-you-care-to-enjoy family feast at 'Ohana. Not only do you get dinner, an interactive family show that the kids will love but you'll also get a little taste of Heaven with these tasty morsels. These wings are so good you might spend your entire dinner devouring them. The great thing is if you run out they will bring you another bowl! I say, keep 'em coming! (Adults $32.99; Children 3-9 $15.99 - Includes coffee, tea and soda)
