Louisiana was the featured state at the 2008 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. One of the most popular items was the praline bread pudding.
8 slices bread, cubed
¾ cup sugar
1 ¼ cup heavy cream
½ tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
¼ cup pecan
Cinnamon sugar (4 tablespoons sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon)
- Cut bread into cubes and place in baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix sugar, eggs, heavy cream, nutmeg and cinnamon together. Pour mixture over bread. Sprinkle pecans and cinnamon sugar on top.
- Bake in oven at 300 degrees until to touch.
- Cut into squares and serve.
