Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

2011 Event Information

Celebrating its 16th year, the 2011 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will take place from September 30 - November 13th. This years theme is Passport to the World of Flavors.

The Festival Welcome Center is home to the Wine Shop, where you can purchase wines and other event souvenirs. It also hosts wine and liquer seminars, culinary demonstrations featuring Disney Chefs and guest celebrity Chefs.

The Marketplaces feature food, wine, beer and other drinks from more than 25 different countries. The tapas-sized portions range from $3 - 8 and give you the opportunity to try cuisine from around the world. Wine, spirits and beer start at $2.50 and go up from there. This year three new Marketplaces will be featured, Portugal, Hawaii and the Caribbean islands.

Special Dining Experiences

The 2011 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival offers special dining experiences in addition to what is offered with your theme park admission ticket. These events cost a nominal fee and will be available for booking starting August 16, 2011 at 7 am/Eastern.

First Bites Opening Reception 
Opening reception featuring samples from the Marketplaces, Culinary Demonstrations, Wine Seminars, merchandise and entertainment.

When: September 29, 2011 6:30 to 9 pm
Where: Festival Welcome Center
Cost: $175 per person plus tax. Gratuity included.

3D Disney's Dessert Discovery
This event debuted last year and has returned! Sample a variety of desserts and cordials in the World ShowPlace Pavilion and enjoy a VIP viewing of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.

Dates: October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4 & 11
When: 7 to 8:30 pm except for Oct 28 and Nov 4 & 11, 8 to 9:30 pm
Where: World ShowPlace Pavilion
Cost: $55 per person plus tax. Gratuity included. VIP available for $80 (includes early event entry, private table and specialty items)

Food and Wine Pairing Dinners
Learn about three regional wines with three tasting size portions of cuisines from select Epcot restaurants. Themes will vary according to location.

When: Mondays and Tuesdays 3:30 to 5:00 pm
Where: Japan and Morocco Pavilions
Cost: $55 per person plus tax. Gratuity included.

When: Wednesdays and Saturdays 2 to 4 pm

Epcot Wine School
Learn how to taste several regional wines and finish off with a celebratory reception and a certificate of completion.

Vertical Wine Tasting *New 2011
Taste 10 vintages (1987, 91, 95, 99, 2003 and 07) from Freemark Abbey, which is celebrating 125 years of winemaking. Wine Master Ted Edwards and John Blazon MS will present two of Napa’s vineyards, Sycamore and Bosche.

Mexico Tequila Tasting
Taste authentic Mexican tequilas such as blanco, reposado and anejo at La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion while sampling tostada and small sampling of appetizers.
