Travel Tip Thursday: 4th of July at the Parks

The July 4th celebration at the Disney parks are some of the busiest of the year. If you are visiting a theme park during this holiday, you should arrive early and expect to stay for the remainder of the day.

Historically, the parks do reach capacity and guests will no longer be able to enter once this occurs. Having a dining reservation will not get you into the park once it is closed.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you are guaranteed entry to a theme park, but not necessarily the one of your choosing. Again, get to the park early and plan on making a full day of it.

Here's some info that will help you decide on where to go for July 4th!

Celebrate July 4th in a very special way at the Disneyland Resort! From July 1-4, guests can experience special nighttime spectaculars celebrating America. At Disney California Adventure park, we’ve got an all-new Independence Day “World of Color” pre-show which will run prior to each showing of “World of Color” and will combine video, water effects, lighting and fireworks to create a spectacular celebration of American independence.

At Disneyland park, guests can commemorate Independence Day with “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” This special fireworks show combines patriotic music with bursts of red, white and blue to celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Be sure to check the Entertainment Schedule or the Entertainment Times Guide at each park for show times.
