Epcot International Food and Wine Festival 2011

This year will be the 16th annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. According to Disney Parks Blog the theme this year will be "Passport to a World of Flavors". Epcot's World Showcase will feature more than 25 International Marketplaces from September 30th - November 13th. If you have never been the Food and Wine Festival serves tapas sized portions that cost anywhere from $2.50 to $8 and features wine, beer and cocktail pairings with them (sold seperately from the food).

This year Hawaii, Portugal and the Caribbean Islands will debut. Instead of hosting cooking demonstrations, like in prior years, The Odyssey will be transformed into Odyssey Lounge for guest to surf the internet while enjoying a drink. For those of you that can't live without your cell phone and overuse it at the parks... I'm guilty of running down my battery several times during the day... we'll you can not charge your cell phone or other electronic device here.

Also new this year is the Cranberry Bog which will tell the story behind cranberry's heritage.

Several of your favorite events will be back like Eat to the Beat Concert Series, 3D Disney Desert Discovery, celebrity chefs and Party for the Senses. For more information visit Epcot International Food and Wine Festival on disneyworld.com. Once they announce the special events that require reservations you can call 407-WDW-FEST. Bookings should start on August 16th.
