Cooking Tip Tuesday: Grilling Beef

Independence Day is right around the corner. There are two things I think of when celebrating Independence Day, fireworks and grilling. One of the most popular items to grill during this holiday is beef. Here are a few key points for grilling beef:

Cooking Temperatures:
Rare - 140 degrees fahrenheit
Med-rare - 145 degrees fahrenheit
Medium - 160 degrees fahrenheit
Med-well - 165 degrees fahrenheit
Well - 170 degrees fahrenheit

Direct or Indirect Heat:
Direct - hamburgers, hot dogs, kabobs and steaks 3/4 inch thick
Indirect - steaks and roasts

Have a Happy Independence Day!
