Disney Magic and Kids - Mythos

By Natalie from Meet the Magic

Every year, my family travels to Orlando for our family vacation. We love the four Disney theme parks and all they have to offer. However, for years, we have been Harry Potter fans, reading all of the books in the series and seeing all of the movies on their release date. When the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened, I was quick to purchase the tickets to the Island of Adventures so we could experience this new addition to the park.

Before heading on our adventure, a friend had suggested eating at Mythos. This restaurant is located in the Islands of Adventures and can be found fairly close to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We were told that this restaurant had multiple awards by the Theme Park Insider as the world’s best theme park restaurant. My family decided that a lunch here would be great.

The themeing inside the restaurant is fantastic, spacious and mystifying using images of gods etched into the walls. The menu includes upscale items such as pistachio crusted grilled pork, cedar planked Bay of Fundy salmon and imported pastas. I enjoyed the spinach salad which included blue cheese and blueberries. My son devoured their kids steak, while my husband tried their fish tacos. My salad and my son’s steak were excellent, while my husband’s tacos seemed to need more spice.

After eating here this vacation, we decided that we would be eating here for all of our vacations. My son continues to order the steak and love every minute of his meal. I tried the sushi on my last visit and wished I could have reordered and changed back to my salad from my original visit. The sushi was tasty, but (I believe) was fried. Who has ever heard of frying sushi? Meals range in price from $10 - $18.

Should you want to call for reservations, their number is 407-224-4012.

The meals here are fantastic. I enjoy the ambiance and being away from the hustle and bustle of the theme park while dining. On my most recent visit, my son decided that the wait for his meal offered a perfect time for creating his own Cooking with Mickey cooking segment. You be the judge, how did he do?
