Her show titled "Aarti Paarti" is designed to be a playful show where she'll share easy ways to bring Indian influences to American food. According to her bio she says that she's been a foodie all her life. She was born in Bombay, India but raised in Dubai, UAE. She grew up in a traditional Indian Catholic family were you had fish on Fridays and attended church on Sundays. Her faith and mother influence her style of food. In 1996 she moved to Chicago to study Journalism and has a BS in it and International Relations.
She used that education and her passion for food to start a blog about entertaining and create online cooking cooking show which she called "Aarti Paarti". Hum, that name sounds familiar.
Well, I hope this gives you a little bit of insight into what her show is going to be about. I look forward to checking out. I'm interested to see how she's going to bring Indian flavors to Americans. It's a cuisine that is considered to be unusual to many and I know several people that aren't fond of the smell and so therefore aren't willing to give it a try. I'm hoping her show will change some peoples minds.
Still wish Brad had won. That was a show that I could have made my DVR's list.
