My Five Favorite Places To Dine In Walt Disney World - Spring/Summer

Seared Miso Salmon
Some restaurants are better suited when the weather is hot or your in need of a great bite without having to leave the park. Here are my top 5 favorite places to dine in Walt Disney World that are great in the sweltering heat of the Florida sun.

Hollywood Brown Derby - This restaurant, a replica of the one in Hollywood is decked out with white lines and decorated with caricatures of famous celebs. It offers true signature dining but in the park, Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can even sit outside if you'd like and have a view of the park. Looking for something on a hot day, well then look no further than the Spiced-rubbed Black Grouper, it is perfect.

Citricos - Often over looked by the Grand Floridian's many exceptional restaurants, Citricos offers great food with it's Meditterean inspired menu. Nothing beats starting off with Seared Tuna Carpaccio or a cheese course trio. Do try the Berkshire Pork Two Ways for a little variety and try ending with the Citrus-soaked Angel Food Cake.

Tokyo Dining - Located above Mitsukoshi, it serves great Japanese food. I loved the Tempura fried veggies as an appetizer and the Ginza Gonza box for my entree. It's a lot of food but delicious and light. The Iced Green Tea is a perfect pairing for a refreshing drink. If you're lucky you'll get seated at one of the tables that overlooks the park which is very relaxing.

Yak and Yeti - A beautifully Asian-themed restaurant in the Animal Kingdom that is perfect for getting a lite bite to eat and getting into a very cool air-conditioned restaurant. The Seared-Miso Salmon is one of my favorite entrees. It's full of flavor and very lite. For dessert, I recommend getting the Fried Wontons, served with pineapple and vanilla ice cream and then drizzled with a honey vanilla sauce. Nothing says summer like pineapple and ice cream!

Paradiso37 - With the option of dining inside or outside with a view of the water this is perfect on a beautiful Floridian evening. It is Cuban cuisine and is nice and offers lite options like salads, tacos and fresh-made guacamole and salsa. Don't forget to get a margarita or mojito, maybe even a Landshark to have with your meal.

Have fun and enjoy your Spring or Summer vacation!
