Cooking Tip of the Day - Brining a Turkey

Brining a turkey before roasting is a popular way to have a moister turkey. The salt mixture not only produces a moist turkey but a more flavorful turkey too. When brining make sure to keep the turkey below 40 degrees. If your refrigerator can't hold the turkey then make sure keep the brine iced.

Common ingredients to add to your brine besides salt are brown sugar, black peppercorns, allspice, ginger, chili peppers, garlic and dried herbs.
