Review: 1900 Park Fare Breakfast

We decided to start off our Magic Kingdom day dining at The Grand Floridian’s 1900 Park Fare Supercalifragilistic Breakfast. Since we were staying at All-Star Music and were going to head to the Magic Kingdom afterwards this took some planning. So we arrived at the Ticket & Transportation center at 7 am (we had reservations for 8:05) and decided to take the Monorail to the resort. We arrived around 7:40 am and heading to the restaurant to check in. We were seated very quickly near the buffet. The restaurant is decorated in a whimsical Victorian style with pink walls and carousel horses.

After we ordered our drinks we headed up to the buffet which had several hot and cold items, breads and pastries and a “create your own omelet” station. I decide to sample the bagel with cream cheese, red onion, tomato and smoked salmon, hash browns, bacon, lobster benedict, chilled strawberry soup and created my own omelets which was made while I waited. Most of the food was your typical Disney breakfast buffet fare. However the lobster benedict and chilled strawberry soup were quite different. The lobster benedict was wonderful. It had good sized pieces of lobster in the sauce which was rich and creamy and if I hadn’t been full I would have gone back for seconds of it. The chilled strawberry soup was really refreshing, creamy and not overly sweet. A great way to end my breakfast.

Before we hit the buffet Pooh was at our table. Tigger who seemed to be spending a little more time with guests than Pooh gave us plenty of time to go up to the buffet. He was very “bouncy” this morning and appeared to be having fun interacting with the guests. Right behind Tigger was Mary Poppins who was very sunny that morning. As we were finishing up our breakfast Alice came by and not far behind was the Mad Hatter. The Mad Hatter seemed to be a little crazier than usual. You could hear him throughout the restaurant. He was so entertaining . A great way to end the dining experience with a little Mad Hatter madness.

I would have to say this is one of the best character breakfasts I’ve been too. The food was wonderful, the characters were fun and entertaining and the restaurant was beautiful. The only negative comment is that we rarely saw our server so we never could get a picture of the two of us together with any of the characters. I will most certainly be returning to 1900 Park Fare for another character breakfast. I might even have to try the dinner and dine with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella.
